Pure Beaver vs. European Hare/Rabbit felt differences

Beaver felt is a premium, heirloom quality felt that has a natural waterproof quality, exceptional softness, extreme durability and denseness which allows it to withstand harsh weather and hold its shape for a lifetime.

We offer both 100% beaver and 50% beaver felts.

Rabbit is a great economical alternative to beaver and extremely common and will still have water repellent qualities. A rabbit felt can last a very long time with good care.

We do not keep rabbit felt in stock, however we can check supplier availability upon request!

**We DO NOT offer wool hats as they are very low quality. They will shrink and deform over time.

Pricing

Our hat pricing is base solely on felt type. All custom hats, whether beaver or hare/rabbit, will have the same attention to detail. All custom hats will have an in-person or phone/video call to go over all the custom details like felt color, sweatband customizations, crown details, brim details and hatband selection.

Chinchilla/Beaver blend…$1200 (verify availability with me!)

Pure Beaver 4.5” brim or greater…$1000 (verify availability with us as larger felts harder to source!)

Pure Beaver Custom Hat ………….$875

50/50 Beaver + Hare Hat………….$650

Pure Hare/Rabbit…….$550

**To start a custom hat, we currently require $200 deposit (plus ID sales tax if local) which is non-refundable due to the custom nature of the product.
